At the heart of the restaurant is its high‑quality “meats.” From juicy carne asada to tender smoked brisket, each cut shows care from butcher to plate. Their EAV is clear:

No Tex‑Mex place is complete without fresh “salsas.” Here, they offer chunky cilantro-lime, spicy habanero, and roasted tomato varieties. The synergy between meat and salsa (ERE: carne asada–with–citrus salsa) complements every bite. As an expert in flavor pairing, I’ve found this authentic combo enhances both taste and mouthfeel.

La Familia Meat Market Reviews
Solid four stars. Trying new spots that popped up on yelp in the area. Food: the tacos are huge! Once taco from here is the size of two. They definitely don't skimp out! They load you up. The Barbacoa was excellent! The mixed breakfast taco was good. The tamale was decent. The green sauce was excellent! The customer service here is great. Everyone from working the food counter to the cashier was extremely nice. I would definitely go back. The inside is pretty cool. Looks like an old store and in the east side. Solid four stars no doubt about it. They did a great job. I've never heard of this place but I'm glad I stopped in.
Years ago I walked into this place and turned around and walked right out. I wasn't impressed. But today I found myself in the area and figured I'd do a Yelp search for good barbacoa and this place showed up with good reviews. Not remembering that this has been the same place that I had visited once before, I went and soon remembered my previous visit. I almost walked out again, but because of the reviews I figured I'd at least give it a try since I was there and hungry. So I got myself two tacos. One a barbacoa and the second a chicharron. Both were loaded with rice and refried beans, sort of like a burrito and both were excellent! The looks of this place can be deceiving. The food was good and served fast. I did buy from their meat market some of the fajita meat everyone's talking about, so I will grill that up later this week. All in all, if you can get past the looks of the place, then you will enjoy a good Taco or two or three.
If you feel like you got shorted on the last tacos you got from somewhere, and want to feel fulfilled and tummy filled? Go here and get two tacos, and you and your stomach will be satisfied with your purchase. They don't skimp on their delicious ingredients. I know the word "authentic" is tossed around a lot, but these tacos are the real deal. The salsa is top notch too. I haven't really used the market for anything besides some plantain chips, a soda and some tacos, but I wouldn't be afraid to get some meat for the home grill too.
Tamale lovers.... they have tamales every day! And they're only $13.99 a dozen ... and they are thicc AF tamales. Like, mouth dropped when the server stacked up one dozen; it looked like two or three dozen. My mom calls these type of large tamales - spilling out it's stuffings - "tamales borrachos." Note: Call ahead to make sure they haven't sold out for the day. On the day I went in for a few dozen, chicken tamales and pork were available. The masa was great and overall they tasted homemade. Five stars for the tamales, so I highly rec. As for the groceries and produce, they are pricier than larger chain stores, but it's all about the convenience here. #supportlocal
Hidden gem with Amazing tacos, Great food, great portions, great people. Wish they did more marketing to get out there more. I do really miss when their prices were cheaper and would go more if it was but it's not expensive compared to mainstream places
